Lightning Strikes Man Prodding Sausages

A man had a lucky escape when he burned his arm when a fork he was using to prod sausages on a barbecue was struck by lightning.

In a freak accident, Eric Brocklebank, was injured during an electrical storm at an air display at RAF Digby in Lincolnshire. Mr Brocklebank was prodding the sizzling sausages when lightning struck the metal fork he was using. He had to spend two days in hospital with burns to his arm.
